About The Big Easy NC
Located at 222 Fayetteville St, Raleigh, NC 27601, The Big Easy NC operates as a bbq serving Raleigh in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under american restaurant, bar, bar & grill, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place was phenomenal. I walked in with my huge Rottweiler and every worker in there was beyond happy to see us/him and extremely accommodating. They got him some water a few times and even myself and my partner some while we decided after our walk. Portions are generous and price is reasonable for what you get. I wish I’d gotten our servers name because she was absolutely amazing. We stopped by about 11:30am. If management is reading these, please accredit our server for all the amazing customer service she provided for us! Those workers and specifically that waitress deserves a raise!

So we really wanted to enjoy this place and when we initially got there everything was great. The place was packed and there’s no real seating protocol but the host was able to get us situated. They were having live karaoke and it seemed like a chill spot. Service was so slow, our server kept disappearing. Once the food came out, everything was great besides the catfish platter. The catfish was soggy, the fried Spinach was mid and the sweet potato fries had sugar on them which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. Our server was not anywhere to be found so we ate all the rest of the food and finally when she came back we were ready for the check and asked for the meal to be taken off since we didn’t enjoy it. I’m in the restaurant industry too and it’s not uncommon for meals to be taken off of the guest is dissatisfied. Well apparently here it is. The manager came over to us and was SO. CONDESCENDING. Spoke down to us and tried to tell me I ate half of the catfish when I had just taken a bite. He kept cutting us off and honestly we think he had been drinking cause we couldn’t believe he was talking to us like that. Finally got the bill, only $8 taken off for this $17 entree. Which I should ad

Sat down and noticed the menus they gave us felt kind of oily… looked up and saw a sanitation rating of 92! Otherwise, good food and atmosphere. It was empty when we walked in and busy by the time we left, so service was slow with only 1 server. They were able to accommodate my shellfish and tree nut allergies, which is not easy for a Cajun restaurant. I hope to go back and see if I could try chicken & sausage gumbo or jambalaya.

Omg…is this my new FAVORITE HIDDEN 💎 gem. I visited on a Saturday night. I sat at the bar. I attached my meals below but I personally had the fish platter…. AMAZING. Service was great and the girl at the bar was on her stuff. Definitely recommend!

The seafood gumbo was very good and the jambalaya pasta was so full of flavor. This is a very nice quiet place with great service. The drinks were very well made.
